We provide a place for families to work together toward wellness, resilience and recovery. We provide specialize counseling to the homeless population to assist in the reduction of chronic homelessness. Why SPS works:
- We are part of a network of supportive relationships.
- We provide timely access to needed help, including in times of crisis.
- We provide a safe place for transition-age youth to socialize, play, and support each other.
- We assist in maintaining and improving mental and physical health.
- All counseling sessions are delivered through having student participation in the discussions, reviewing handouts, videos and in-class activities.
- We provide additional services such as mediation & conflict resolution; a skill that further allows us to be more adapt than others with crisis situations.
These services are provided in the community, schools, in the home, and in the local jails. Through these and other creative strategies, Seeking Peaceful Solutions, Inc. contributes positively to the County of Los Angeles’ goal for prevention of severe mental illness and early intervention for children, youth and adults in stressful situations.We are committed to assisting with reduction of substance abuse, domestic violence, teen dating violence, incarceration in jails and juvenile halls.
